Queensland Government Business BASICS Grant

The Queensland Government has announced that Round 4 of the Business Basics Grants program will open on Thursday, 24 November 2022.

The funding pool for this round of the Business Basics Grant is $5 million, with $1.5 million of this allocated for regional businesses outside of South-East Queensland. Eligible small businesses can apply for grant funding of $5,000.

Eligible small businesses include non-employing and micro businesses, and new and emerging businesses with less than 20 employees and a turnover of less than $300,000 for the past financial year.

Key dates for this grant are:

  • Stage 1: Registration of Interest (ROI) opens 24 November 2022.
  • Stage 2: Full application opens 12 December 2022 (selected ROI applicants only).

The Business Basics Grant can be used for:

Training and coaching

  • Business development, marketing, human resources or business planning topics
  • Training or coaching of up to 4 months in duration

Website build or upgrades

  • Website build or upgrade (including website refresh)
  • Adding e-commerce
  • Developing new website content

Professional business advice

  • Business plans

Strategic marketing services

  • Strategic marketing plans including search engine optimisation advice

Business continuity and succession

  • Business continuity and succession plans
  • Cyber-safety training and tools
