Business Services Intermediate Accountant
We're looking for an Intermediate Accountant with a minimum of 18 months experience in a business services accounting role in public practice, so this might be your chance to discover a new career Peak.
We acknowledge and understand that your professional experience will be limited, so we'll be committed to helping you develop your technical skills, your accounting knowledge and your business acumen. Ideally, you will have completed (or are currently studying) a relevant degree or diploma qualification, and are looking to undertake further study.
This is a full-time Monday to Friday position, with a 38 hour working week.
In the role of Business Services Intermediate Accountant, your responsibilities will likely include:
- preparation of financial statements using MYOB Accountants Enterprise (AE) software;
- general ledger reconciliations;
- preparation of tax returns; BAS, IAS, FBT returns for all types of business entities;
- general accounting duties.
Apart from technical ability and the usual stuff like computer skills (MS Office, MYOB, Xero and other accounting software), we want someone who:
- has a client-is-everything mentality;
- is a confident communicator;
- is open to learning and sharing new ideas; and
- really wants to be part of a dynamic team within a team.
